Pumpkin Dash, our first 3D video game is in process ! After having created the assets and imported them into Unity we have now been busy on importing animation, learning about components, scripting and the like ! We quickly noticed that Unity is a no joke piece of software and that it is going to take a lot of time, practice and patience before we handle this amazing game develoment application ! For now our pumpkin Man character can run around the maze and pick up energy balls, we still have to fix a lot of little bugs, put in place a time trial script and insert some cool halloween audio ! 😈
We wanted to show you the cool assets we have created for BlackthornProd’s very first video game : Pumpkin Dash !! We used Autodesk Maya and Mudbox and we are now going to use Unity to assemble all these cool models ! First we have the walls ( simple black stone with some cracks ), we will use these assets to assemble our Maze ! Next we have a strange lopsided human skull and a grinning Jack O Lantern, these cool little props will be placed on the Maze floor to give an extra spooky little Halloween feeling to our game ! And of course we have our character, the Pumpkin Man, up and ready for take off !! We will of course create some stones and rubble to give a more believable feeling to the Maze !
